I have been really down because from childhood I was failing in life, work, education and relationships. And I had this all my life and no matter how much I have tried to focus on tasks and my behaviour, I just couldn't control it. Also, I felt really stupid because I could not pass anything, and I couldn't do what I really wanted to do as a career. So I was not happy and I felt like I'm just wasting time. So I had enough and I went to see my GP he said I might have ADD or ADHD and he said he will refer me to a specialist that deals with this and that I need to wait 18 months to be assessed by NHS. After the appointment, i went and I researched about ADHD and ADD and honestly I was shocked to see that I have all the symptoms that other people have. And I have seen how much impact it made in other peoples lives, So I thought screw waiting for NHS because it's just waste of time and my life waiting till they will help me. So I have searched on google to see if there are any private psychiatrists that deal with ADHD, and I found Psychiatry-UK and me have called them straight away and they have been really patient and helpful to me. I have spoken to a lady called Jo she helped me to book an appointment with Dr.Ghetau, and I had my appointment within the same week. Dr.Ghetau has been really patient with me I have told her everything that I was dealing with throughout my life, she was really patient with me. In the end, she has diagnosed me with ADHD. After a week of being diagnosed my life have changed completely, I went straight back into to education. So I can do what i wanted to do as my career because I have so much passion and love for this, and i always had dreams to pursue that but I could never do it. Because I previously tried and I just couldn't listen and could take any information in. And I just have failed completely. Now I gave it a second chance I find it so easy and interesting since I got diagnosed I can focus and take in information. Also at my current work, i have improved a lot and now, and has been noticed by colleagues. since I lose interest pretty quick, Now I feel more confident and now I can deal better with any stressful situation that can arise at work. Anyway wanted to say a massive thank you to Dr.Ghetau, Danielle, Jo and all other staff that helped me. P.S Sorry for my grammar still learning. Thanks, Vladislavs Ahmidzanovs (Vlad)

Psychiatry-UK was recommended to me by my GP after over a decade and a half of being passed from service to service on the NHS, being diagnosed with various mental health problems, but seeing no improvement in my quality of life. The entire process was very easy, simple and quick and I had my first consultation less than a week later. Eventually, through the service, I was diagnosed with ASD and ADHD, both of which have extensive waiting lists on the NHS. My quality of life has since improved immeasurably. I saw two consultants - Dr Joiner and Dr Ghetau - and they were both professional, understanding, respectful and took what I said on board. Furthermore, other staff, especially Jo Tierney, whom I was in a lot of contact with, with my queries, were amazing and always helpful and quick in their replies. I 100% recommend Psychiatry-UK, especially if other avenues have already been explored. I was getting very close to losing hope and resignation but I feel like my entire life has turned around.

I was hesitant about online appointment but the package used was secure and confidential. The consultant was an expert in the field and I found it amazing to be able to access their expertise when locally my NHS waiting list is well over 12 months.

Dr Grenville Major embodies the perfect Psychiatrist. He gives off such a calm, reassuring and warm energy. I never felt uncomfortable talking to him and he struck the perfect balance of being professional yet laid back. Grenville did not push any medication on me and it was really therapeutic to chat with him. He is naturally confident in his knowledge and continously acknowledged my feelings. I honestly enjoyed every minute of our conversation and I would have happily talked for hours - I can't stress how easy he is to talk to. Grenville diagnosed me with Borderline Personality Disorder and I have every faith in his decision. Grenville explained every stage so well and I can tell he absolutely cares about every interaction he has - no question was met with judgement and he really went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with my end result. Grenville is an example to fellow Psychiatrists and I could not have wished for a better ending :-) thank you Grenville! Jess

Psychiatry UK's presence on social media and their website seem up to date and informative as they share new research and publications in ADHD. It's also worth noting that their receptionists are lovely and so helpful. I've had a lot of contact with Jo Tierney who is always upbeat and helpful, whether I'm calling her to say my medication is ruining my life or to tell her everything is finally working. She has dealt with my entire range of my emotions over the last 9 months and has always helped me deal with whatever issue I have and passed the information on to the relevant people. Psychiatry UK is also leading in low prices for private help after looking around online, which is amazing as the quality of their staff and practice is so high.

Psychiatry-UK represent the future of outpatient psychiatry, that's for certain. They provide an economical and incredibly accessible means of seeing a consultant psychiatrist. However, they are ultimately only as good as the psychiatrist you book an appointment with. Dr. Elin Davies is absolutely exceptional; whether this holds for all of their consultants is beyond the scope of my review.
